Process of Nursing Diagnosis
Nursing Diagnosis basically forms a part of the medical process, under which the medical professionals
clinically judge all the problems related to an individual’s health and life processes. Through the process
of Nursing Diagnosis, reports are generated of the patients, known as nursing diagnoses, which are
based on data obtained during the nursing assessment Nursing Jobs.

Process of Nursing Diagnosis
Nursing Diagnosis involves the following step-by-step procedure:
1. Conduct a nursing assessment – All the Nursing Jobs subjective and objective data is collected enabling the
medical examiner to have a clear vision of the patient’s human responses to actual or potential
health problems / life processes.
2. Cluster and interpret cues/patterns – Collected data is carefully assessed by the nurse to clearly
plan, and implement the patient care to be provided
3. Hypotheses is generated
4. Validation & Prioritization of Nursing Diagnoses – It is important to confirm the validity of the
hypotheses from the patient in order to shortlist the list of diagnoses required immediately to
initiate with nursing diagnosis.
Post following all the above mentioned steps, it requires the nurse to plan, implement and then
evaluate all the data to carry on efficiently with the process of Nursing Diagnosis.
